Past readings connect with each other but they also differ. Having a growth mindset and fixed mindset depends on what kind of drive and motivation you have. A growth mindset is when you're willing to learn new things and put effort towards it even if you don't understand at first. Having this mindset is the cause of intrinsic motivation. This type of motivation comes form within yourself. A fixed mindset is the belief that you are born with intelligence. Having this mindset is the cause Extrinsic motivation. This type of motivation comes from someone else. Someone else always has to feed your self esteem and motivation.

The grit test and the marshmallow test are somewhat similar but I don't agree with either. The marshmallow test is given to young kids who somewhat no from right and wrong but then again they'll have no memory of the test. The grit test is suppose to predict your intelligence or stamina. The marshmallow test predicts how successful you will be in the future.
